Teaching
I love connecting with the community! I offer presentations to small groups, fellow therapists, workplaces, teachers, parents and school administrators on a variety of mental health topics. My passion is presenting on how to work with neurodivergence as a therapist and/or a teacher, the best way to integrate accommodations into school and work place settings and creative executive functioning skills.
I also love to work with parents of trans youth both 1:1 or in small groups. It is important for parents of trans youth to have space to connect, vent and process all the feelings so that they can show up 100% for their kid! I offer a non-judgemental space for parents to dig deep and have open dialogues around the real challenges and fears they are facing.
Support for recent grads
Starting out in social work can feel overwhelming; I’ve been there! If you're a recent grad finding your feet in the field, I'm happy to offer informal support along the way, whether that's answering questions, talking through tricky situations, or just being a friendly, experienced voice in your corner. I don’t offer formal supervision, but I’d love to provide informal support as you navigate your journey.
Collaboration with other professionals
I have experience in both private practice and multi-disciplinary settings. I am well-versed in collaborating with outside health care providers to make sure your whole being is tended to. This includes working with primary care physicians/nurse practitioners, dieticians & nutritionists, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, executive functioning coaches, spiritual healers, massage therapists & chiropractors, etc.
Preceptorship
As a preceptor, I provide 1:1 clinical supervision, mentorship, and teaching for psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner students. I work with students in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients, particularly focusing on psychotherapeutic techniques, behavioral interventions, and coping strategies.
